The Talamanca Nature Reserve is located in San Gerardo de Rivas, Pérez Zeledón, which is approximately 17 kilometers from San Isidro de El General, Pérez Zeledón, which is approximately 135 kilometers south of the capital, San José.
You head south on the Inter American Highway. Car rentals are plentiful in San Jose, or you can take a bus from San José. The Musoc or Tracopa Bus lines are both available daily.
